Armored vehicle hire with Nero Line means a certified armored car, SUV or van for your stay in Spain, Switzerland or elsewhere in Europe, either with a trained security driver or for your own licensed driver. Vehicles are offered at protection levels from VR4, tested against handguns, up to VR10, the highest level certified for a civilian vehicle. You choose the dates, the route and the level. We confirm the vehicle class, position it at your airport, hotel or venue, and send a written offer. Rates are on request, and a confidentiality agreement can be signed before you share any details.

Every booking starts with the same question: who will be at the wheel. The answer decides the licence, the paperwork and the minimum duration.
With a security driver
An armored vehicle and a trained security driver, by the day or for the length of your stay. Minimum one full day.
Armored vehicle with driverFor your own driver
Your professional or security driver takes the vehicle. We check the licence class and identity before handover. Minimum two days.
Self-drive and own driverEvents and long-term
Congress weeks, summits, festivals and residencies of several weeks. Plan early: around the large events, an early request keeps more choice of vehicle and protection level.

Protection levels in plain words
Civilian armored vehicles are commonly rated on the VR scale. The higher the number, the heavier the threat the body and glazing are tested against, and the heavier the vehicle becomes.

X5, G-Class and Range Rover class. Higher seating, more room for luggage and a better fit for mountain roads and winter conditions.

On request, for delegations, families or teams who want to travel together in one vehicle.
Who books an armored vehicle
Armored vehicles suit people whose work or profile makes predictable movement a risk: executives and board members travelling between meetings, family offices moving principals and their families, delegations attending a summit, public figures arriving for a festival or a premiere.
Others book for a specific stretch of time rather than a specific person: the week of a congress, a court date, a high-value sale or a period when a household simply wants a heavier car at the door. In every case the brief is the same. A vehicle certified to a known level, a driver who knows the routes, and as few people as possible knowing the plan.

How a request works

Tell us the trip
Dates, cities or route, number of passengers and the protection level you have in mind. A rough plan is enough to start.

Receive a written offer
We confirm the vehicle class, protection level, driver arrangement and positioning, and send a written offer. Rates are on request and stated in the offer.
- 03
Confirm and verify
On confirmation we complete identity checks, and for self-drive the licence check and the security deposit. A confidentiality agreement can be signed first.
- 04
Handover where you are
The vehicle is positioned to your airport, hotel, residence or venue at the agreed time, with the driver briefed on your programme.

Frequently asked questions
The armored vehicle at the protection level you choose and, if you book with a driver, a trained security driver for the agreed hours. We position the vehicle at your airport, hotel or residence and brief the driver on your programme. Everything included is listed in your written offer.
It depends on your risk profile and where you travel. VR4 is tested against handguns, VR6 to VR7 against rifles and VR9 against military rifles, with VR10 the highest level certified for a civilian vehicle. If you are unsure, choose "advise me" in the form and we recommend a level with the offer.
Yes, with the right licence. Most high-protection vehicles exceed 3,500 kg maximum authorised mass, so a standard category B licence is not sufficient and the driver needs category C1, which covers vehicles up to 7,500 kg. Lighter armored vehicles that a category B holder may drive are offered on request, subject to availability.
Yes. Your professional or security driver can take the vehicle, provided their licence covers its class. We check identity and licence before handover and a security deposit applies. The minimum for self-drive and own-driver bookings is two days.
No. Our service is the armored vehicle and, if you choose, a trained security driver. If you travel with your own protection team, we coordinate the vehicle and the driver with them.
As early as your plans allow. Armored vehicles are a small category, so around large events such as the World Economic Forum in Davos or the Cannes Film Festival, send your request as soon as your dates are fixed. For an ordinary city stay, allow a few days of notice so the right vehicle can be positioned for your dates.

Across Europe, including France, Monaco, Italy, Germany, Austria, the Benelux, Portugal and the United Kingdom, armored vehicles are available on request, and so are trips that cross borders.
Your details are shared only with the driver and the team handling your booking. If you prefer a formal commitment, ask for a confidentiality agreement and we sign it before you send names, flight numbers or addresses.
Rates are on request. The price depends on the protection level, the vehicle class, the number of days, the driver hours and how far the vehicle has to travel to reach you. Your written offer states the full amount before you commit.
One full day when you book with a security driver, and two days for self-drive or for your own driver. Longer stays and residencies are welcome, and multi-city programmes can be combined in one booking.
