    Armored vehicles in Malaga

    Armored vehicle hire in Malaga

The gateway to the Costa del Sol. Arrivals at the airport and the port, meetings in the city and onward trips to Marbella, Granada and Seville.

    • From one full day with driver
    • Self-drive from two days
    • Rates on request

Armored vehicle hire in Malaga with Nero Line starts at the main airport of the Costa del Sol: Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport, a few minutes from the city centre. We provide certified armored saloons and SUVs at protection levels from VR4 to VR10, with a trained security driver or for your own licensed driver. Malaga is both a destination and a transit point, so a programme here can begin with an arrival and continue to Marbella, Granada or Seville in the same vehicle. Rates are on request.

    Airport, port and city

Malaga's airport is unusually close to its centre, which makes the first leg short and easy to plan. The driver follows your flight, waits according to the procedures for private or commercial arrivals and takes you into the city or straight onto the coast road.

The port is the second front door. Cruise ships and private yachts berth beside Muelle Uno, at the edge of the old town, and arrivals by sea follow the same planning as arrivals by air: a waiting point agreed with the port, a short walk for the guests and a clear route out.

Congresses and a growing business city

FYCMA, Malaga's trade fair and congress centre, sits near the airport and hosts events that fill the city's hotels for several days at a time. Technology companies have also opened offices in Malaga in recent years, which brings a steady flow of executive visits.

For these programmes we plan set-down points at the venue, waiting positions nearby and evening transfers to restaurants in the old town or along the coast.

Onward to Granada, Ronda and Seville

A programme does not have to stay in Malaga. Granada and the Alhambra lie inland, Ronda sits on its gorge in the mountains to the west, and Seville is reachable for a day of meetings. Each of these drives crosses open country and mountain roads, where a heavy armored vehicle needs a driver who knows how it brakes on long descents.

Marbella and the western coast are the natural next stop. If you plan to stay there, see our Marbella page for what changes when the programme moves from the city to a villa.

    Questions

    Frequently asked questions

    Protection levels

    Protection levels in plain words

Civilian armored vehicles are commonly rated on the VR scale. The higher the number, the heavier the threat the body and glazing are tested against, and the heavier the vehicle becomes.

    VR4

    Handguns, up to .44 Magnum.

Discreet protection for city travel. The lightest class, closest to a standard car in weight and handling.

    VR6 to VR7

Rifles. VR7 corresponds roughly to the former B6 rating.

Suited to executive and diplomatic travel where rifles are part of the risk assessment.

    VR9

Military rifles. Corresponds roughly to the former B7 rating.

High protection for elevated risk profiles. Heavy, with a licence requirement to match.

    VR10

The highest level certified for a civilian vehicle.

Available on request, subject to availability and longer lead times.

Not sure which level fits your trip? Choose "advise me" in the request form and we will recommend one.

    How it works

    How a request works

    1. 01

      Tell us the trip

Dates, cities or route, number of passengers and the protection level you have in mind. A rough plan is enough to start.

    2. 02

      Receive a written offer

We confirm the vehicle class, protection level, driver arrangement and positioning, and send a written offer. Rates are on request and stated in the offer.

    3. 03

      Confirm and verify

On confirmation we complete identity checks, and for self-drive the licence check and the security deposit. A confidentiality agreement can be signed first.

    4. 04

      Handover where you are

The vehicle is positioned to your airport, hotel, residence or venue at the agreed time, with the driver briefed on your programme.
