    Armored vehicles in Zug

    Armored vehicles in Zug

A small lakeside canton that is home to a remarkable number of trading houses, holding companies and family offices, close to Zurich and Lucerne.

    • From one full day with driver
    • Self-drive from two days
    • Rates on request

Armored vehicles in Zug from Nero Line give executives, traders and families a certified armored saloon or SUV, at a protection level from VR4 to VR10, with a trained security driver or for their own licensed driver. Zug is a short drive from Zurich Airport, and its concentration of commodity traders, holding companies and blockchain firms brings a steady flow of discreet business visits. Nero Line's Swiss office is in Zug, which keeps coordination close. Rates are on request in Swiss francs.

    Business in a small place

Zug is small enough to cross on foot, yet many internationally known trading houses and holding companies have their seat here. Meetings take place in modest-looking office buildings, where discretion is part of the culture.

An armored vehicle in Zug is about being unremarkable: a saloon close to its standard appearance and a driver who waits without drawing attention.

    Between Zurich and Lucerne

Zurich Airport is a short motorway drive away, and Zurich city and Lucerne are each easily reached for a meeting or a dinner. Along the shores of Lake Zug and Lake Lucerne, houses are reached by quiet lanes. Morning and evening runs along the lake can follow different roads on different days.

The vehicle and driver can cover the whole triangle in one day, and continue into the Alps or to Basel for programmes that extend beyond the canton.

Crypto Valley, as the cluster of blockchain companies around Zug is known, adds conferences and investor visits to the calendar, often with founders and executives whose profiles are public and whose movements are easy to follow online.

    Working with a local office

Nero Line's Swiss office is in Zug. It is an office, not a showroom or a pick-up point, but it means the people planning your booking know the canton and its roads.

If your own driver takes the vehicle, most high-protection vehicles exceed 3,500 kg maximum authorised mass and need a category C1 licence. Bookings are quoted in Swiss francs.

Because the canton is small, a driver who knows it well can vary routes between office, home and the lake shore every day without adding time to the journey.

    Protection levels

    Protection levels in plain words

Civilian armored vehicles are commonly rated on the VR scale. The higher the number, the heavier the threat the body and glazing are tested against, and the heavier the vehicle becomes.

    VR4

    Handguns, up to .44 Magnum.

Discreet protection for city travel. The lightest class, closest to a standard car in weight and handling.

    VR6 to VR7

Rifles. VR7 corresponds roughly to the former B6 rating.

Suited to executive and diplomatic travel where rifles are part of the risk assessment.

    VR9

Military rifles. Corresponds roughly to the former B7 rating.

High protection for elevated risk profiles. Heavy, with a licence requirement to match.

    VR10

The highest level certified for a civilian vehicle.

Available on request, subject to availability and longer lead times.

    How it works

    How a request works

    1. 01

      Tell us the trip

Dates, cities or route, number of passengers and the protection level you have in mind. A rough plan is enough to start.

    2. 02

      Receive a written offer

We confirm the vehicle class, protection level, driver arrangement and positioning, and send a written offer. Rates are on request and stated in the offer.

    3. 03

      Confirm and verify

On confirmation we complete identity checks, and for self-drive the licence check and the security deposit. A confidentiality agreement can be signed first.

    4. 04

      Handover where you are

The vehicle is positioned to your airport, hotel, residence or venue at the agreed time, with the driver briefed on your programme.
