    Armored vehicles in Madrid

    Armored car hire in Madrid

Barajas arrivals, government and embassy meetings, IFEMA trade fairs and the business towers along the Castellana, with the vehicle planned around your arrival.

    • From one full day with driver
    • Self-drive from two days
    • Rates on request

Armored car hire in Madrid with Nero Line gives you a certified armored saloon or SUV, with a trained security driver or for your own licensed driver, from the moment you arrive at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. Madrid is Spain's capital and its financial centre, so a single day here can combine ministries, embassies and head offices. Protection levels range from VR4 to VR10, rates are on request, and a confidentiality agreement can be signed before you share your programme.

    Arriving at Barajas

Madrid-Barajas is large, and the walk from gate to kerb can be long. For private flights the business aviation terminal keeps arrival discreet and quick, and the vehicle waits as close as the airport's procedures allow. For commercial arrivals the driver follows your flight and chooses the terminal exit that keeps your exposure short.

From the airport, the run into the city is direct by motorway, and the main destinations are within reach of the Castellana: hotels in the Salamanca district, offices around AZCA and the four towers at the northern end of the avenue.

A city of ministries, embassies and head offices

Madrid concentrates Spain's government, most foreign embassies, the stock exchange and the headquarters of the country's largest companies. A single day can mix several of them, and each has its own entrance, its own drop-off rules and its own idea of how long a car may wait outside.

Our drivers plan these stops in advance: where to set down, where to wait, and which alternative entrance to use if the main one is busy. La Moraleja and La Finca, to the north and west of the city, are residential areas where gated estates and private roads change the approach again.

    Trade fairs and match days

IFEMA, close to the airport, hosts trade fairs that bring thousands of visitors into the same few roads. On those days we plan routes that avoid the main access and set pick-up points away from the crowds at the halls.

The Santiago Bernabéu sits on the Castellana itself, so a match or a concert changes traffic across the centre. If your stay overlaps one, tell us and we plan around it. Day trips to Toledo or Segovia, and longer drives to Valencia or Seville, can be added to the same booking.

    Frequently asked questions

    Protection levels

    Protection levels in plain words

Civilian armored vehicles are commonly rated on the VR scale. The higher the number, the heavier the threat the body and glazing are tested against, and the heavier the vehicle becomes.

    VR4

    Handguns, up to .44 Magnum.

Discreet protection for city travel. The lightest class, closest to a standard car in weight and handling.

    VR6 to VR7

Rifles. VR7 corresponds roughly to the former B6 rating.

Suited to executive and diplomatic travel where rifles are part of the risk assessment.

    VR9

Military rifles. Corresponds roughly to the former B7 rating.

High protection for elevated risk profiles. Heavy, with a licence requirement to match.

    VR10

The highest level certified for a civilian vehicle.

Available on request, subject to availability and longer lead times.

Not sure which level fits your trip? Choose "advise me" in the request form and we will recommend one.

    How it works

    How a request works

    1. 01

      Tell us the trip

Dates, cities or route, number of passengers and the protection level you have in mind. A rough plan is enough to start.

    2. 02

      Receive a written offer

We confirm the vehicle class, protection level, driver arrangement and positioning, and send a written offer. Rates are on request and stated in the offer.

    3. 03

      Confirm and verify

On confirmation we complete identity checks, and for self-drive the licence check and the security deposit. A confidentiality agreement can be signed first.

    4. 04

      Handover where you are

The vehicle is positioned to your airport, hotel, residence or venue at the agreed time, with the driver briefed on your programme.
