    Armored vehicles in Paris

    Armored car hire in Paris

Embassies and maisons in the 8th, headquarters at La Défense, fashion weeks and state visits. Available on request, with the vehicle planned around your arrival.

    • From one full day with driver
    • Self-drive from two days
    • Rates on request

Armored car hire in Paris with Nero Line is available on request: a certified armored saloon or SUV, at a protection level from VR4 to VR10, with a trained security driver or for your own licensed driver. Many private flights to Paris land at Le Bourget, the business aviation airport north of the city, and commercial arrivals use Charles de Gaulle or Orly. A programme here can combine the 8th arrondissement, La Défense and evening engagements across the city. Rates are on request, and because Paris is outside our two core markets, more notice helps.

    Le Bourget and the airports

Le Bourget handles a large share of the business aviation traffic into Paris and is close to the city by motorway. For commercial arrivals, Charles de Gaulle is further out to the northeast and Orly lies to the south.

The driver follows your flight and positions the vehicle according to the procedures at each airport. Traffic on the ring road and the motorways into Paris is heavy at most hours, and the driver plans the route and timing around it.

The 8th, La Défense and the Left Bank

The 8th arrondissement holds the Élysée, many embassies, the fashion houses of Avenue Montaigne and the hotels around the Champs-Élysées. Place Vendôme and its jewellers are a short drive away. Set-down points in these streets are tightly controlled, especially during state visits. The driver confirms the set-down point on the day, because the arrangements around the Élysée and the embassies can change at short notice.

La Défense, west of the city, is the main business district, with corporate headquarters and a separate road system beneath the esplanade. On the Left Bank, Saint-Germain and the 7th are home to ministries, embassies and private residences.

Fashion weeks, fairs and onward travel

During fashion weeks, shows move across the city several times a day, and traffic around the venues becomes difficult. Large trade fairs at Porte de Versailles and Paris Nord Villepinte bring similar pressure at other times of the year.

From Paris, the vehicle can continue to Brussels, to Geneva or towards the Channel for London, on a planned route. Cross-Channel trips need extra planning and notice.

    Frequently asked questions

    Protection levels

    Protection levels in plain words

Civilian armored vehicles are commonly rated on the VR scale. The higher the number, the heavier the threat the body and glazing are tested against, and the heavier the vehicle becomes.

    VR4

    Handguns, up to .44 Magnum.

Discreet protection for city travel. The lightest class, closest to a standard car in weight and handling.

    VR6 to VR7

Rifles. VR7 corresponds roughly to the former B6 rating.

Suited to executive and diplomatic travel where rifles are part of the risk assessment.

    VR9

Military rifles. Corresponds roughly to the former B7 rating.

High protection for elevated risk profiles. Heavy, with a licence requirement to match.

    VR10

The highest level certified for a civilian vehicle.

Available on request, subject to availability and longer lead times.

Not sure which level fits your trip? Choose "advise me" in the request form and we will recommend one.

    How it works

    How a request works

    1. 01

      Tell us the trip

Dates, cities or route, number of passengers and the protection level you have in mind. A rough plan is enough to start.

    2. 02

      Receive a written offer

We confirm the vehicle class, protection level, driver arrangement and positioning, and send a written offer. Rates are on request and stated in the offer.

    3. 03

      Confirm and verify

On confirmation we complete identity checks, and for self-drive the licence check and the security deposit. A confidentiality agreement can be signed first.

    4. 04

      Handover where you are

The vehicle is positioned to your airport, hotel, residence or venue at the agreed time, with the driver briefed on your programme.
