    Armored vehicles in Frankfurt

    Armored vehicles in Frankfurt

Continental Europe's banking city. The European Central Bank, the towers of the financial district and one of the world's great trade fair grounds.

    • From one full day with driver
    • Self-drive from two days
    • Rates on request

Armored vehicles in Frankfurt from Nero Line are available on request: a certified armored saloon or SUV, at a protection level from VR4 to VR10, with a trained security driver or for your own licensed driver. Frankfurt is home to the European Central Bank, the German stock exchange and the head offices of major banks, and its airport is one of the busiest in Europe. A programme here can combine an arrival, a day in the financial district and evenings in the Taunus hills. Rates are on request.

    The financial district

Frankfurt's skyline is its banking district: the towers of the major banks between the main station and the old town, with the leafy Westend and its law firms and family offices beside them. The European Central Bank stands apart in the Ostend, on the bank of the Main.

Meetings here are short and close together. The driver plans set-down points at each building and waits nearby, so a day of six meetings does not become a day of six searches for a taxi.

Investor days, annual general meetings and central bank meetings bring their own peaks of visitors to the financial district, often with the same set of people moving between the same few buildings over two or three days.

    Trade fairs at Messe Frankfurt

Messe Frankfurt, west of the centre, is one of the largest exhibition grounds in the world. During its major fairs, hotels fill across the region and the roads around the halls are congested from early morning.

For fair days we plan arrival slots, set-down points away from the main entrances and evening transfers to restaurants and hotels outside the city centre.

    The Taunus and beyond

North of the city, the Taunus hills hold Kronberg, Königstein and Bad Homburg, with villas, golf clubs and hotels favoured by executives. Staying here means a drive into the city each morning.

Frankfurt sits at the crossing of Germany's main motorways. Basel, Munich and Brussels are within a day's drive, and the vehicle can travel with you on a planned route.

Wiesbaden and Mainz lie just to the west across the Main, and the Rheingau wine villages beyond them are easy to add to a private programme.

    Frequently asked questions

    Protection levels

    Protection levels in plain words

Civilian armored vehicles are commonly rated on the VR scale. The higher the number, the heavier the threat the body and glazing are tested against, and the heavier the vehicle becomes.

    VR4

    Handguns, up to .44 Magnum.

Discreet protection for city travel. The lightest class, closest to a standard car in weight and handling.

    VR6 to VR7

Rifles. VR7 corresponds roughly to the former B6 rating.

Suited to executive and diplomatic travel where rifles are part of the risk assessment.

    VR9

Military rifles. Corresponds roughly to the former B7 rating.

High protection for elevated risk profiles. Heavy, with a licence requirement to match.

    VR10

The highest level certified for a civilian vehicle.

Available on request, subject to availability and longer lead times.

Not sure which level fits your trip? Choose "advise me" in the request form and we will recommend one.

    How it works

    How a request works

    1. 01

      Tell us the trip

Dates, cities or route, number of passengers and the protection level you have in mind. A rough plan is enough to start.

    2. 02

      Receive a written offer

We confirm the vehicle class, protection level, driver arrangement and positioning, and send a written offer. Rates are on request and stated in the offer.

    3. 03

      Confirm and verify

On confirmation we complete identity checks, and for self-drive the licence check and the security deposit. A confidentiality agreement can be signed first.

    4. 04

      Handover where you are

The vehicle is positioned to your airport, hotel, residence or venue at the agreed time, with the driver briefed on your programme.
